All About the Media Center........ Media Hours: 8:15 a.m. – 4:15 p.m. Students may visit the media center in the morning before home room with a morning pass and throughout the day with a pass from a teacher. We welcome all students to browse our collection of over 10,000 materials including fiction, non-fiction, story-collections, graphic novels, everybody, and biography books. We have recently divided our fiction section into twelve (12) genres. If you can’t find what you are looking for, please suggest it by using the suggestion box! 26 Desktops, 10 Laptops, and 20 iPads are available to the students throughout the school day for research or school work. Cobb Digital Library is used at school as the primary online research database. CDL offers 58 electronic databases, 136 ebooks, SchoolTube and 30 audiobooks. It can be accessed at home with the password. Destiny, the CCSD online library catalog, can be accessed both at school and at home. Students and teachers are able to place a hold, renew items, make suggestions; view materials checked out write a review and search the catalog using Destiny. Cobb County School District is providing Microsoft Office 365 FREE to all Cobb students and their families! The service includes access to the full suite of productivity applications, including the following: ◾Microsoft Word (word processor) ◾Microsoft Excel (spreadsheet) ◾Microsoft PowerPoint (presentation graphics) ◾Microsoft OneNote (note taking and information organizer) ◾Microsoft OneDrive (1 terabyte of cloud file storage!)
